Western Fumigation & Customer Appreciation
Some companies claim to appreciate their customers, but where’s the proof? What do they DO to show them their appreciation? Western Fumigation makes it a practice to put their people first. And their people, of course, includes their employees, it also includes their customers. To thank that particular group, they go all out, and this year was no different.
On Wednesday, November 29, 2023, Western Fumigation welcomed almost 100 of their biggest clients, port partners, and industry friends to their client appreciation night at Panorama Restaurant and Wine Bar in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Among the appetizers, cocktails, and networking were Shannon Sked, Director, Christina Lista, International Business Development Manager, and Miriam Borja-Fisher, Sr. Business Development Manager, all from Western Fumigation, but many notable guests were in attendance as well.
We asked Christina Lista why Western Fumigation put together this night for their customers. She said, “The Client Appreciation Reception is an opportunity to thank our clients for choosing and trusting Western year after year to treat their perishable cargo. This event focuses on those clients involved in the Chilean fresh fruit trade, in which the seasons usually begins at the tail end of the calendar year. The reception serves as a token of our gratitude, a holiday celebration, and a kickoff to the Chilean season.” We can’t think of a better reason than those!
Important to note that Karen DeChristopher was also in attendance. After 31 years, Karen retired. It just goes to show, once a family member of Western Fumigation, always a family member. And if anyone is wondering if this is a tradition – the answer is yes. In fact, this was the 17th Annual Client Appreciation Reception Western Fumigation has hosted, and they see no reason why they wouldn’t continue to thank their clients for their loyalty each and every year. Looking forward to #18 in 2024!
